The range decides how the sink is built — welded by hand, pressed from one sheet, or cast in quartz composite. Everything else follows from that.

Beyond the size, the layout decides how the sink works — one bowl for large vessels, two for washing and rinsing, a drainboard where there is counter to spare.

In Nirali NG’s catalogue, Expell and Magnus use 1.2 mm steel, while Magnus Elite and the pressed ranges use 1 mm. Heavier sheet takes knocks from heavy vessels better and flexes less when the bowl is full.
A top-mount sink rests its rim on the counter. An under-mount sits below the stone with the rim hidden, so crumbs wipe straight in — decide this before the granite is cut.
Glossy shows water marks, satin and hairline satin hide them, and the anti-scratch finish is made for kitchens that see steel vessels all day.
Per Nirali NG, sinks are supplied with a waste coupling but not the pipe fittings below it. We stock the connecting pipes, traps and waste fittings too, so the plumber collects everything on one bill — see our Viking kitchen fittings.

Measure the width of the cabinet the sink sits over and the depth of the counter top, then leave room for the rim. Nirali NG single bowls run from 16 × 14 inches up to 27 × 21 inches (the full list is in the size chart above), and double-bowl and drainboard models run much wider. A pressed sink is formed from a single sheet of steel in one press, which keeps cost down and allows many shapes. A hand-made sink is welded, so its corners are sharper, the bowl can be deeper, and the lines are crisper. In the Nirali NG catalogue, Expell and Magnus use 1.2 mm sheet, while Magnus Elite and the pressed ranges use 1 mm.
It depends on the kitchen. AISI 304 stainless steel is light, easy to clean and suits most homes. Quartz composite is heavier, comes in solid colours with a matt stone look, and is chosen where it has to match a stone or coloured counter. Both are available through us — ask which models are on display at the counter.

Nirali NG sinks can be fitted top-mount, with the rim resting on the counter, or under-mount, with the rim hidden below the stone. Not every model suits under-mounting, so tell us your counter material and we will confirm the models that do.
